| Description: | We will leave from the parking lot on the East side of the Wal-Mart on 6th, at 9:00 A.M. If you wish to leave from Topeka, we can pick you up as we pass by the bowling alley on Highway 24. Ed will get back to you for a head-count after the 4th. We are going to Wetmore, KS, which is 10 miles North and 4 miles West of Holton. We are scheduled to visit the Spring Creek Car Museum for a guided tour at 10:30 A.M. We will eat at the "Dinner Bell" restaurant in Wetmore, KS after our tour of the museum. About the museum: The museum, according to the Topeka Capital Journal, is a "collection of classic antique cars and auto memorabilia showcased in a renovated Chrylser/Plymouth dealership and restored 1925 Texaco gas station. The dealership building has 5,000 sq.ft of display space. The service area of the dealership building displays original work benches, equipment, tools and floor lifts." |
